A SPANISH SERIES CONQUERS 51 COUNTRIES, INCLUDING POLAND: NETFLIX'S MEDICAL DRAMA
Just days after its premiere, "Breathless" has triumphed in Netflix's TOP 10 most-watched series rankings. The show, set in a Valencia hospital, has also won over viewers in 50 other countries.
"Breathless" is a new offering from the producers of "Elite", whose final season was released on Netflix in June. The story of medics at a hospital in Valencia quickly captured the hearts of Polish viewers, climbing to the top of the most-watched series rankings on Netflix in Poland. It even surpassed "Kaos," which you can read a review of via this link, and the Mexican series "The Incident", about a tragic birthday party. "Breathless" also topped the charts in 50 other countries worldwide.

"Breathless" Is Netflix's New Hit
"Breathless" follows the lives of doctors and patients at Joaquín Sorolla Hospital in Valencia. As in other medical dramas, the doctors fight tirelessly for their patients' health. The stress and physical exhaustion take a toll on their relationships and personal lives, as they experience many highs and lows on screen.
One of the main characters is a young resident, Biel (played by "Elite" star Manu Rios), who notices issues within the Spanish healthcare system. One day, a high-profile patient arrives at the hospital, and her presence makes the doctors realize the severity of the problems they face.
The series features a star-studded cast of Spanish cinema: Manu Ríos ("Elite"), Najwa Nimri ("Money Heist"), Blanca Suárez ("Cable Girls"), Aitana Sánchez-Gijón ("The Machinist"), and Alfonso Bassave ("Thursday’s Widows").
