LILY COLLINS CRINGES AS 'IDOL' VICTORIA BECKHAM RUNS AWAY AFTER CATCHING HER PERFORMING SPICE GIRLS

Lily Collins cringed with embarrassment as her 'idol' Victoria Beckham ran away after catching her performing Spice Girls dance moves backstage at Jimmy Fallon.

The Emily In Paris star, 36, got the surprise of a lifetime on Tuesday's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he brought out the Spice Girls icon, 51, she'd always dreamed of meeting.

But in a clip shared from backstage, Lily was left red-faced after she was caught having a boogie to Spice Girls by Posh herself.

In the video Lily is seen dancing to the Spice Girls' 1996 hit Wannabe before Victoria walks behind her.

Victoria spots Lily dancing to her song and grimaces, before making a swift exit.

Lily then hears that Victoria was just behind her and says: 'She was just... how could you not tell me? Wait... what? Oh my god, that is so embarrassing.'

Lily looked chic as ever in a black dress with sheer panels throughout, meanwhile Victoria wowed in a grey silk dress and strappy black heels.

After her Jimmy Fallon appearance, Lily changed into a strapless velvet mini-dress in a multicoloured leopard print.

She paired the dress with a longline black blazer and velvet stiletto strappy heels as she strolled through New York City.

Lily teared up as Victoria sat beside her, admitting she copied the singer's iconic bob haircut.

The segment started out with Jimmy asking Lily if she was still in her Posh era, to which she replied, 'I hope I never leave my Posh era.'

He then pulled up a side-by-side photo of Lily and Victoria striking similar poses, prompting the actress to joke that Posh will 'always do it better'.

Jimmy then shocked Lily as he brought Victoria out, after the star said she'd never met her.

The ladies recreated the pose from the photos, both striking a peace sign, before sharing a hug.

Victoria then complimented Lily on her hairstyle, saying hers was 'a lot shinier'. 'No, no, no,' Lily replied, adding, 'Well, thank you, but no, I could never out-shine, no.'

Jimmy then asked Victoria how she got her famous nickname Posh. 'I've always wanted to know that too,' Lily quipped.

'Well I was given that nickname because I used to like nice clothes and nice restaurants,' Victoria replied. 'In actual fact, it really helped me out because in the Spice Girls, the other girls didn't like designer clothes. So when we would do videos or go on stage, they were happy to just wear all the free stuff and I got all the budget.'

'I like how you think,' Lily said, clearly impressed.

The two then watched a clip from the new season of Emily In Paris.

Emily In Paris released a first look at its fifth season this week, with producers also teasing a possible exit by a major character.

The clip shows Lily's alter ego Emily as she adjusts to her new life in Rome with Eugenio Franceschini's character Marcello.

Elsewhere, with Emily struggling to settle in, Gabriel appears as the pair have a heart-to-heart.

The character, played by Lucas Bravo, tells her he's excited by the future, and she should be too.

He's then seen boarding a train - with it not clear if he's exploring Rome or returning to Paris.

It further fuels speculation that Gabriel is being written out of the show following his split from Emily, after his absence from the initial trailer caused alarm amongst fans.

A synopsis for season five released by Netflix reads: 'Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city.

'But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.'

Emily In Paris lands on Netflix on December 18.
