With an estimated production budget of $155 million, the remake was released exclusively on Disney+ instead of receiving a traditional theatrical release. More recently, 2025’s ‘Snow White’, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, faced backlash over creative choices, including Disney’s decision to portray the seven dwarfs using CGI.
