Disney has spent years bringing its beloved animated classics to life in live-action, but not every remake has managed to recreate the same magic as the originals. With an estimated production budget of $155 million, the remake was released exclusively on Disney+ instead of receiving a traditional theatrical release. More recently, 2025’s ‘Snow White’, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, faced backlash over creative choices, including Disney’s decision to portray the seven dwarfs using CGI. During an interview with podcaster Marc Maron, ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Peter Dinklage also criticized the remake, calling the approach “backwards” and arguing that it reinforced outdated stereotypes.
