Celebrity Mastermind viewers were left fuming as they bombarded this week's episode with complaints.
The BBC spin-off quiz sees famous faces brave the iconic black chair in the hopes of winning.
An installment aired on Monday (February 2) featured contestants Maryam Moshiri, Chesney Hawkes, Desiree Burch and Danny Robins.
However, fans were unimpressed upon realising they had not only seen the episode before - but quite recently too.
It originally aired on December 22, 2025 - meaning just 42 days had elapsed between the two showings.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: 'Wasn’t this episode on a couple of weeks ago?'
Another added: 'What is going on #Mastermind this episode was on a few weeks ago! Shocking scheduling. Bring back the regular show.'
A third said: 'Wasn’t this episode on a couple of weeks ago?'
While a fourth remarked: 'Am I imagining it or was this one on very recently? And how come we’re not back to the main series?'
A fifth commented: 'You are kidding me. They can’t be repeating the same programme within a few weeks at the same time.'
Maryam took on the Bridget Jones films as her specialist subject, while Chesney answered questions on the Beatles' White Album.
Desiree tackled the subject of Viola Davies and Danny opted for television series The Mandalorian.
Singer Chesney, 54, emerged as an early leader after achieving a perfect score on his specialist subject.
Despite his efforts, it was ultimately comedy writer and performer Danny, 49, who won with a score of 19 points.
It comes as viewers previously hit out at an 'utterly painful' episode they mistook for a spoof.
The show's presenter Clive Myrie welcomed a panel of guests comprising former England footballer Stuart Pearce, Britain's Got Talent winner Axel Blake, radio presenter Gemma Cairney and TV writer Phil Dunning.
But fans of the BBC series, which is part of the 'Quizzy Mondays' line-up of telly, which also includes Only Connect and University Challenge, were soon up in arms of the episode branding it 'utterly painful' to watch.
The backlash began when comedian Axel, who won the ITV competition series in 2022, took to the floor with his speciality round, the Marvel Comics.
While Stuart managed to award himself nine points in his round, specialising in UK punk rock, and Gemma managed six points with her subject, artist Pamela Colman Smith, Axel only managed to get two questions right.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans were soon to hit out against the episode, with one writing: 'I deserve a refund of the license fee, s**t TV' - and others confirming it to a spoof episode, according to The Express.
Another chimed in to agree: 'Seriously though, this is not acceptable, it is utterly painful to watch,' as a third said: 'I hope he is better at comedy. Decent comedians are usually better at this, though, aren't they?'
'Axel Blake has fallen into the trap of *liking* something, but not doing any revision for being asked questions about it,' a fourth penned.
While a fifth person added: 'I've just turned over and I thought it was a comedy about thick people, until I realised again that it's Celebrity Mastermind.'
'Axel was s*** on his "specialist' subject",' someone else said, as another concluded: 'Two.!? Two.!?! Mmm, he is going to have to do well in the general knowledge to win.'
Axel went on to take part in the general knowledge round, where he once again only scored two points after two minutes of questions - totalling four points.
Meanwhile, former footballer Stuart finished with an impressive 18 points, and was crowned the winner of the spin-off episode.
Addressing his big win, Stuart said: 'It was very similar to football, you walk on the pitch, you've got to deliver, and it was just wow. It was just an incredible experience, I've got to say, fantastic.'
Celebrity Mastermind airs Mondays on BBC Two and is available to stream on iPlayer.
