27 years ago, ‘The Sopranos’ debuted on HBO, becoming one of the most important shows in television history. After going out with a bang, where are the cast of the hit show today? James Gandolfini led the cast as the infamous head of the family, Tony Soprano. The role earned him three Emmy’s, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Golden Globe. After the show’s success, Gandolfini took on more production roles, producing the HBO series ‘Hemingway & Gellhorn’. He continued to act in mob-style dramas such as ‘Killing Them Softly’, released in 2012. Gandolfini died suddenly of a heart attack on June 19, 2013. Two-time Golden Globe winner Edie Falco played Carmela Soprano, wife of Tony Soprano. Falco continued her rise in television, starring in ‘Nurse Jackie’ from 2009 to 2015. She has also starred in several other series, including ‘Law and Order True Crime’ and ‘Horace and Pete’. Falco then branched out into film, appearing in ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. Falco had two children via adoption in 2005 and 2008. Tony Soprano’s right-hand man Paulie “Walnuts” was played by Tony Sirico. Sirico already had an established acting career, appearing in the 1990 movie ‘Goodfellas’. Since the end of the show, Sirico took on small roles in short films such as Woody Allen’s ‘Café Society’. His most successful project was ‘Family Guy’, where he voiced the family dog Vinny from 2013 to 2016. Sirico’s death was announced by his family on July 8, 2022, at the age of 79. Jamie-Lynn Sigler made her acting debut on the show as Meadow Soprano. Since then, she has continued working in television with roles on ‘Ugly Betty’ and ‘Guys with Kids’. Sigler was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2002 and now spends time raising awareness about living with the disease. She has two children with her second husband, Cutter Dykstra, whom she married in 2016.
